December Luxe Box

I received my December Luxe Box a few weeks ago but this post got lost in the holiday shuffle. The good news is that I've been able to use some of the products so I can do more than just introduce them to you!

You can sign up for your own Luxe Box subscription here.

Made just for me!

And here's what's inside.

Moroccan Oil Luminous Hairspray
Moroccan Oil Luminous Hairspray provides a weightless hold with none of the stickiness of traditional hairspray. Your hair will brilliantly shine in style this holiday season, whatever the occasion!

Moroccan Oil Moisture Repair Shampoo

Moroccan Oil Moisture Repair Conditioner
Moroccan Oil Moisture Repair Shampoo and Conditioner: This colour-safe shampoo and conditioner is formulated without sulfates, phosphates and parabens. It will leave your locks shiny and beautifully soft  by replenishing moisture and restoring the health of your hair.

I've been using these on and off for two weeks. I normally only use conditioner (like shampoo) in my hair because my hair is often too fluffy after regular shampooing. The Moroccan Oil shampoo and conditioner leaves my hair feeling clean but weighted down enough that it styles the way I want it to and isn't fly-away clean. It's also smooth, unbelievably shiny and softly scented.

Yves Rocher 24H Vitality Anti-Fatigue Skin Care
This interactive moisturizer is enriched with Red Vine Polyphenols that combat signs of fatigue that age the skin. It smooths away fine lines and wrinkles and revitalizes the skin, revealing a more radiant complexion.

I really like this moisturizer. It's rich but not heavy and light enough that you forget that you're wearing moisturizer. It's perfect for wearing under make-up. It left my skin feeling very nourished, smooth and soft. My Luxe Box product card gave the tip to slap your palms against your face gently before applying moisturizer to increase blood flow to the surface. It works with the moisturizer to nourish your skin.

Paco Rabanne Lady Million and 1 Million
Lady Million: For her, a heady bouquet of voluptuous flowers underlined with patchouli and amber.
1 Million: For him, an intense harmony of leather, white wood and amber dashed with citrus and spice.

NYX Slim Eye Pencil
A smooth definer for your beautiful lids, this basic eyeliner blends easily and comes in a variety of shades. A staple in everyone's makeup bags, you can never go wrong with black!

October Luxe Box

It's Luxe Box time again! And there's new packaging! How sleek and sophisticated is it? To see what the old Luxe Box packaging looks like click here, herehere and here. the new packaging is a square black box with the Loose Button logo on top. The inside of the box slides out from the wrap-around top.

Inside are the tissue-wrapped goodies but before you get there, there's the Luxe Box note, with all the information about what's inside and a little note from Loose Button. Also new with this month's Luxe Box is the announcement that Loose Button has paired with Dealuxe.ca and there's a $75 off discount card inside!

A personalized sticker seals the tissue paper - made just for me!

And what's inside: goodies!

Let's dig in!

A deluxe Chloé perfume sample. I love Chloé. And look it's a mini bottle of Chloé!

A full-sized bottle of Essie nailpolish in Too Too Hot - red with orange undertones. Hmmm, the other Essie polish I've gotten in a Luxe Box was Silken Cord and it's almost the same shade.

A sample of Kérastase Elixir Ultimate, a hair treatment for smoothing, shine and health.

A sample of Lise Watier's brand new Flash Lift Radiance Vial, a "magic potion for instant life and radiance". Apparently, Luxe Box customers are one of the first to try a sample of this new product.

And finally, a sample of Olay ProX Eye Restoration Complex!

There's my Luxe Box for October. What did you get in yours?

July Luxe Box

My July Luxe Box! I signed up for Luxe Box a few months ago and this is the second one I've received. You can read about and see the first here. If you want to sign up for Luxe Box, check out their website http://www.loosebutton.com/!

I admit, there is something about a lovely wrapped gift arriving, even if I bought it for myself. And not knowing what's inside is even better. Here's what was inside my July Luxe Box.

L-R: Stella in Two fragrance sample, Essie nailpolish in Silken Cord, Proclaim Hair Oil Treatment
and Trucco Eyeliner in Ivy (bottom)
Stella in Two is my favourite fragrance, hand's down. For some reason I thought it was Limited Edition so when I spotted a bottle at Winners I snapped it up. It's not available with the other Stella fragrances at Sephora, so it's not exactly readily-available. Regardless, I was thrilled to get a little sample I can carry in my purse!

Essie nailpolish in Silken Cord
Essie is becoming my go-to brand of polish so I'm always happy to have a new shade. This is a creamy tomatoey-red shade that is great for summer pedicures.
Proclaim Hair Oil Treatment
Proclaim is an argan oil-based hair oil that promises to reduce frizz and add lots of shine. Argan oil is fantastic.

Trucco Eyeliner in Ivy
Ivy is a dark forest green eyeliner that goes on easily and blends nicely. This is a great shade too.

Can't wait to see what's in my August Luxe Box!

June Luxe Box

Luxe Box by Loose Button is a beauty subscription service that just recently went from invite-only to public. You sign up and pay a subscription amount (monthly, quarterly and yearly) and you get three boxes shipped to you for three months. Each box contains three deluxe samples of beauty brands such as Dermologica, OPI, Lise Watier, Anna Sui, Christian Dior, Benefit, MAC, Clinique and Principessa, among others.

I signed up just before Loose Button went public with their service and bought three months worth of Lux Boxes. Just before they went public I was offered the change to sign up for another three months, so I did. And I'm glad I did as I got my first Luxe Box last week (sent out early due to the impending Canada Post strike).

Luxe Box is so pretty - a brown box, wrapped with a black ribbon. Very sophisticated and very chic. Inside is teal tissue paper and a pink striped card, with what beauty treats are inside and a personalized note.

My Luxe Box goodies for June are a mini bottle of China Glaze nail polish in Pink Underground, Daily Microfoliant from Dermalogica and a full-size Laura Mercier eyeshadow in Sandstone. They also threw in a little chocolate treat.

China Glaze nail polish, Dermologica Daily Microfoliant, Laura Mercier Eye Colour, chocolate!

Mini China Glaze in Pink Underground

This is not my colour. It's too bubblegum pink, although it's pretty enough with the slight purple sparkle. I lasted less than 24 hours with it on.

Dermologica Daily Microfoliant

I have tried this yet but it's a rice-based powder exfoliant that will smooth and soften your skin, removing dirt, dead skin and roughness.

Sandstone is a very pretty, shimmery fleshtone shade making it perfect as a browbone highlighter or to blend darker shades. And Laura Mercier makes gorgeous eyeshadows.

I was thrilled with my first Luxe Box and can't wait to see what's coming next month!
