LUSTING: butter LONDON lacquer in British Racing Green

"I think it's pretty!" chirps Sally Bowles in Cabaret when speaking of her green fingernails and I agree! There's a plethora of green polishes out there right now in every shade. Two of my favourites are Sephora by OPI's Dark Room and MAC's Beyond Jealous. butter LONDON's British Racing Green however, eclipses these for me for two reasons:
  1. It's called British Racing Green. I'm an Anglophile and butter LONDON uses names that reference British heritage, such as Minger, Artful Dodger, Cream Tea, Thames, Chimney Sweep, Snog and Macbeth. British Racing Green reminds me of the customization option for Mini Coopers - dark green with white racing stripes.
  2. butter LONDON's nailpolish is non-toxic. Most nailpolishes are made with especially nasty chemicals (and known carcinogens) like formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and toluene but butter LONDON's polishs and nail treatments are not. If you're a nail biter or pregnant, or just especially concerned about what's in the cosmetics you're using, check out this company!
There's also the fact that it's a very pretty dark hunter green.Check it out on this pouty lady but don't be green with envy of anything but her nails...and take your cues from the precocious and vampy Sally Bowles! Whatever shade you choose, green is in for fall.
